I have unfortunately personally experienced much of what DeVon Franklin writes about in this excellent primer on dealing with men when they exhibit behaviors that are out of control. Reading his brilliant and compassionate insight into the minds of these types of men gave me a new sense of freedom and comfort. He was able to explain much of the why some men behave so wrecklessly and how it most often has little to do with the women in their lives. Disclaimer, I live in Sedona & know the author, Debra Beck.I wanted to read this book as a friend of the author and as the Mother & step Mother of several now adult girls! I thought that this book really addresses the many issues facing teen girls & gives teen girls great information and tools to navigate through the difficult teen years, empowering them all the way.I was kind of blown away reading the book, as there were several sections that opened up my eyes & helped me learn about myself! A great read for any parents of teen girls & for Adult women to read for the 'teen girl within!" Great job Debra! Well done!

Debra Beck does a great job teaching young girls how to love themselves. It is not that empty, shallow and selfish love but the true love based on confidence and hard work.This book talks about important topics that many books dealt with like drugs, sex and eating disorders, as well as, refreshing topics that I enjoyed having introduced to my daughter such as finishing projects, stress reduction and health maintenance and how they are related to confidence and self appreciation. Ms. Beck also provided short journals that help young girls search and understand themselves; well done!

A nice guide for adolescenses who are strugling in this wonderfulbul confusing world. I have given this book to several of my students and they have enjoyed it and learned how to be better.

Although this was a pretty good story, and had minor grammatical errors, I cannot, in good conscience, give it a 5 star rating. A few times,the author changed some minor things, and although minor, they were enough to stop me so that i could go back and check the story.For,example, the biggest one was: the author introduced a new character who is also a pretty important character, Baelfyre,another dragon. When introduced, the author describes him very well, especially his hair. He's a redheaded dragon...then a little later in three book, he's referred to as the dark haired dragon. At first, I was confused,thinking that I'd missed something..after which i realized that the author changed his hair color. As i said,a minor thing,not integral to the story, but not enough to interrupt my reading.Also,after quite a bit of actin,the book just ends. I understand that there's another book, but the ending her was a bit abrupt,almost as if the author was ready to move on and just wanted to finish. The ending was a bit anticlimactic.But,in spite of these shortcomings, it was a fun read,and recommend it.

It is a very good trilogy and I enjoyed it very much.

I hadn't read previous reviews, so I went into this box set not knowing what to expect. Dragons...how can it go wrong? And this one went right....from the first, thry the whole story....right up to the end......which was a surprise. Read this.......you will not be sorry.
