Another great book by Harmony Rained about Matthew, an older bear shifter, who finds his true mate in the most unlikely of places, working at an auction to raise money to save an animal shelter that he is trying to purchase to demolish. Sian took her two daughters and left her cheating, abusive, soon to be ex-husband , several months ago and moved to Bear Creek in search of a better life. She was able to get her life back together by working with the animals at the local animal shelter and knew how much her life changed for the better just thru her interaction with the animals and she also learned about the existence of shifters thru her friends that work there. Not wanting others to miss out on the experience of how the animals at the shelter helped her during one of the lowest times of her life, she volunteers to help head up an auction to raise money to prevent a millionaire who has set his eye on acquiring the shelter & tearing it down to build modern vacation homes on the land & getting rid of the animals they are saving at the shelter. But life can be funny & unexpected things can happen. Once property developer Matthew sets his eyes on Sian at the auction, he knows she is his one true mate and he will do anything to make her happy, including saving the shelter from himself. There are so many things that are going on in Sian's life and for the first time in Matthew's life he really cares about someone else, protecting them, and making them happy. But being raised in an abusive and loveless home by an uncle, he has never cared about anyone else or experienced love and must learn much in order to earn Sian's trust and love. You will have to read this book to find out what Matthew does and if Sian is ready to trust another man, have him around her daughters, or consider taking s second chance on love, especially with a shifter and being a true mate to one. Read this book to find out what happens.to these people & if they will get their second chance at a life of love with a true mate.

One of my favorite tropes is stories about redemption. Matthew Lewis starts out as a greedy real estate developer determined to destroy the Bear Creek Animal Shelter. Then he sees Sian, his mate, and his whole world shifts. He needs to be worthy of having her as his mate. Sian knows nothing about shifters. She just wants to start a new life with her daughters. How is Matthew going to convince Sian that he's not the jerk who wanted to destroy her dreams?This is a terrific story about the power of love and second chances. It's full of neighbors who are there for others through the good times and the bad. Happy reading!

Sian is have a auction to help save the animal shelter from a land developer so she has put up a pet pampering day. When her soon to be ex husband shows up and bits one dollar but the developer bit two hundred thousand dollars and saves her from embarrassment and also saves the animal shelter. He now needs to prove she is his fated mate and he is worth her trust. So enjoy another great read from ms. Rains ! !

Matthew is a tough, rich, hard hearted bear shifter. But when he finds his true mate, Sian, and her two daughters, all bets are off. A heart felt tale of a man turning his life around for true love. His sarcastic and comedic bear self conscious is a great addition to his transition. Add in the craven, almost ex husband of Sian and you have the expected winning story of Bear Creek shifters to enjoy.

As with all the author's books, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their story. This was a non-stop cover to cover read, I couldn't put it down. A shifter, a strong independent woman with kids, a soon to be ex-husband, a second chance at love, what more could you want in a great story. This is one book you won't want to miss.

She works for the animal shelter and durring a bidding for goods meets a man but she is still married to a man that is giving her trouble, he is a bear shifter that has come to town to buy tbe animal shelter land to tear down and build vacation homes for shifters, what they get is so much better but you have to read to find out.

I loved this! I enjoyed the gentle tone of two mature people learning how to love each other through all of their actions. It especially warmed my heart that Matthew just accepted Sian’s daughters as his own. No matter what the past was, neither of them are willing to let it drive their future. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Of course, it can be read alone or after the ones the come before this. The characters tie in and come to visit. Harmony Raines is a great author and her characters really draw you in. You should start at the beginning and read all the way to the current one. I own them all and love them all.
