It’s all about visualization to Luis, “the power of creating a story.”We are particularly good at this skill when we are children; we become “creative story tellers.”He brings about the understanding of how our forefathers would transfer knowledge their sharing stories. Luis seems to imply that various points in the brain are activated when we are taking in a story.Its frustrating to hear his perspective of the subconscious mind vs. the unconscious. As your conscious mind becomes the gatekeeper to the subconscious.I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone, definitely worth every penny.

Worked great for me! Depends on what you're expecting from it... if you're looking for a complete guide/list/dictionary type of book, this probably won't be for you. Medical terms are based on prefixes, suffixes, root words and abbreviations. The author gives a couple memory techniques and follows up with EXAMPLES of his versions. There are many terms with definitions included but don't expect a full list.How it worked for me: used his technique to create my own (what it teaches you to do) and it was freakin amazing!!! I was also able to build off of the concepts & apply it to other more complex areas of study. I'm incredibly impressed with my results 😁 Hope this helps!

The author gives an intro that has an extremely good method for memorizing unfamiliar or random sets of items.But, past that, the list of mnemonics, specifically for medical nouns, functions, descriptors, is a) not the set of mnemonics and mnemonic acronyms common to medical professions (not, e.g. a list such as RICE- Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, for sprains)The list of mnemonics for memorizing, e.g. medical term prefixes, is SO colorful, near arbitrary and so divorced from the use and meaning of the term one is trying to memorize, that it is a counterproductive distraction FROM memorizing the terms.(Infra- below. Picture an infrared cat, under a table. This is the mnemonic for memorizing structures below the temporal cranium. There is so arbitrary a correlation between anatomical structures below the temporal cranium, and an an infra-red cat under a table that by the time you've memorized the bizarre mnemonic, remembering the actual term, much less structure or function, or role in medical diagnosis or treatment is lost)Actually just learning common Greek and Latin roots, and anatomical location terms (supra, saggital, posterior...), and using traditional medical mnemonics is a much much better way to memorize, and also to retain the medical sense of the material, rather than memorizing sheer random term-recall mnemonics)I would not wish to be treated by any medical professional who used this book as a medical study guide.That said, the introductory techniques are great for memorizing objects who's meaning or use is not of any direct functionality- eg, the technique is great for memorizing, say, names, or or unrelated sets of objects.

I am using these methods now and will be using them in my classroom to help my students to succeed. It seems easy to follow and has excellent tips on how to master the terminology.

I learned so much from this book. It was by far the most helpful medical terms book that I have gone through because of the various visual examples that Luis Angel presents here. The mnemonic triggers helped me learn the terms in a fraction of the time that it would have normally taken me.

Obviously, this is not a good substitution for a medical terminology book. If you are taking a class, buy an actual medical terminology book; this is just a complement to remember hard prefixes, suffixes, and root words. Overall an OK buy as long as you don't expect it to be thorough.

The future for our children and their children will depend on making better choices for energy, water and society. It is time we understand these interrelationships. This book does an excellent way of telling the story of how these subjects need to be considered.

The relationship of of energy and water impacts all people! The discussion is this book is an excellent primer to begin to understand this balance. The answers are difficult and they are not always obvious ! Please get this book and read it and talk to everyone about this book.

This is a book that made me think--from beginning to end. I'm not an engineer or a scientist, but I love learning about it in easily digestible ways. This book was accessible for even a poetry person like me. It helped me see how water and energy work together and sometimes against each other. So often these issues are presented as either/or, and I began to understand how much more complicated everything is. There are solutions to explore, but probably nothing is one size fits all--that was new information for me.

Great and interesting read!

This is an engaging book that makes sense of the complex dynamics between water and energy. Michael has provided a clear examination of the issues of providing adequate energy and water for the world's growing population. He acknowledges the challenges we face and offers thoughtful scientific and policy-based solutions. Highly recommended.

Fantastic overview of the interaction of our water and power systems, and a great primer on the topic. Overall, an accessible book for non-technical types.

The writing could use more passion but the material is quite important

I didn’t know when I ordered this book that there were several and of course this version didn’t have that one pattern I was looking for.

Great patterns. Well written directions. Lots of choices and different levels for beginners and advanced alike.

Very nice book. A lot of pretty patterns illustrated with pictures and charts.

As a new knitter, this book is great! Each design is rated for new to advanced knitters. I love that each blanket has instructions on how to make it larger. Very sturdy book. Great job! :)

I like that the blankets are not all geared to new borns. Many are perfect for toddlers. Working on a second blanket amd will be making more.

I like this whole line of books. Patterns are easy to follow and they work up quickly.

Once again, 60 quick knits series does not disappoint. Some really beautiful patterns, something for everyone.
